MEET SOPHIE

Why do I do what I do? It’s simple — I love it.

Not only do I love the work itself, but I also love how it makes my clients feel. It’s incredibly rewarding to help people achieve their goals and to be part of their journey toward better health and movement.

Since my mid-teens, I’ve had an ever-growing passion for the health and fitness industry and have immersed myself in it in every way possible. It has shaped many of my choices and my lifestyle, so pursuing a career in this field felt like a natural path.

My personal involvement in sport and my passion for movement in all its forms has allowed me to lead by example. It has also given me a strong understanding of the importance of individualised client care, program design and rehabilitation. My drive to continually learn and challenge myself keeps me evolving alongside the industry and the exciting discoveries we continue to make.

Outside the clinic, I have a deep appreciation for the environment, nature and animals. I try to make sustainable choices wherever possible, which is why Mastering Movement aims to be as eco- and animal-friendly as possible.

When I’m not at the practice, you’ll most likely find me in the gym training or practising my favourite sport of all time — Muay Thai — playing with my dogs (or anyone else’s dogs… or really any animal for that matter), cooking up a storm in the kitchen, or spending time outdoors surrounded by nature. I love learning new things and have tried almost any activity that involves being active or out in nature — and I’m always open to the next adventure.

MEET NINA

Nina is a qualified nutritionist with a First-Class Master’s degree in Nutrition and Public Health, a Master’s in Higher Education Teaching, and a Bachelor’s in Health and Wellbeing. Originally from England, she moved to Australia in 2024 after travelling through Southeast Asia and Japan, and now combines her love for nutrition, movement and the outdoors in her work and lifestyle.

With a special interest in women’s health, fuelling for performance, and building positive relationships with food, Nina supports clients in finding a balanced, non-restrictive approach to nutrition. Her method is practical, evidence-based, and tailored to each individual — whether the goal is better energy, improved performance, or lasting confidence around food.

A CrossFit enthusiast and runner, Nina lives and breathes what she teaches. She's also currently studying canine nutrition to extend her work to supporting dogs’ wellbeing (and because she loves dogs that much).

Through her work, Nina aims to help others not only master movement — but master the fuel behind it. She also believes that life isn’t meant to be put on hold. Whether it’s your nutrition, or the way you live day-to-day — it’s about showing up fully now, not waiting for the ‘perfect’ time.

MEET Tina

Tina manages the front desk and was the first member of our administration team to join Mastering Movement, helping to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

While Tina’s role at Mastering Movement is purely administrative, she brings with her many years of experience in the healthcare industry. An “old school” RN trained at the RMH, she later became a remedial massage therapist and has spent the past 15 years working as a midwife.

Always keen to participate in sport (although finding it a little more challenging as the years roll on), Tina is now working in the perfect environment to seek treatment from these amazing professionals!

When Tina is not working, you’ll find her training for running events or doing laps at her local track at Patterson River. She loves the outdoors, staying active, watching her children play sport, camping and spending time with her pooches. Tina also regularly follows her beloved Brisbane Lions around the country to watch them live in action.

GO EDI-ASP!! GO LIONS!!!

You don’t get the a** you want by sitting on it.

MEET STEPH

After initially pursuing a career in law, Steph discovered a passion for hands-on work in healthcare, leading to a career shift into allied health. She has recently completed a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance and is looking to progress in this field through further study.

She is excited to welcome in and provide assistance to clients of Mastering Movement as a new receptionist and social media creator. Since having experienced her own injuries and rehabilitation, Steph is passionate about the process of recovery and assisting others.

When Steph is not working, she is playing football at Chelsea Heights (injuring herself), travelling and hiking. She loves the outdoors, especially the beach, painting and trying new things.

As you travel through life whatever your goal, keep your eye upon the donut and not upon the hole.

MEET BRooke

Brooke is the founder of the successful clothing brand Bijou, which she has owned and operated for the past 14 years. The brand was created as a one-size collection designed to offer comfort, versatility and unique style for women of all ages and all beautiful bodies.

Brooke previously worked with Soph before Mastering Movement was founded and has always admired the enthusiasm and values behind the practice. She is excited to now be part of the team and to welcome clients as one of the friendly faces at the front desk.

When Brooke isn’t working, she enjoys a good coffee (and champagne), spending time with her four-year-old son, and exploring the restaurants and bars around Mordialloc or fitting in a workout at Berry Fitness.

Be a flamingo in a flock of pigeons.
