An experienced Physiotherapist who understands human movement and function will assess your pain/injury through a consistent, thorough and structured process where they will determine the diagnosis of your condition. Physiotherapists assess, diagnose, plan and treat patients for all causes of pain and injury across all ages.
After an initial assessment is complete, your Physio will work with you to develop an appropriate and comprehensive treatment and management plan to aid in your rehabilitation, with your specific goals in mind. We can work closely with other health professionals involved in your care to plan and manage your treatment and achieve the best possible outcome.

A Physiotherapist may use many techniques in your treatment and management plan to help improve your movement, reduce your pain and stiffness, speed up your healing process and increase your quality of life.

Treatment techniques may include:
↠ Personalised rehabilitation program
↠ Strapping of injured joints/muscles
↠ Manual therapy techniques i.e., massage, joint mobilisation and manipulation
↠ Prescribe and provide aids and equipment to aid in your recovery i.e., braces, resistance bands
↠ Advice for modifying activities of daily living (lifestyle and sporting where applicable)
↠ Education to provide you with an awareness of why you are in pain and what you can do to help your recovery be as quick and smooth as possible.

A wide range of health conditions and movement disorders can be treated with Physiotherapy. These include but are not limited to:

↠ Sporting injuries – ligament, muscle, bone, & nerve injuries.

↠ Aiding in the management of chronic heath conditions - Physiotherapists can help treat a range of chronic conditions, often as part of multidisciplinary teams. They are trained to design individual programs for care that help address risk factors arising from co-morbidities and physical limitations in people with chronic conditions.
